    • On average those platforms charge 5% of the total amount raised
    • Plus they have transfer fees that go up to 25 euros or 3% of the transaction amount
    • There are basically two models
    • Flexible Funding: "Keep Your Money No Matter What"
    • If the goal amount is not reached, the creator can decide if that's enough and keep the money and work with that
    • Fixed Funding: basically all-or-nothing
    • if the amount is not reached, it is returned to every sponsor and no fees are charged
    • Basics for every platform
    • stakeholders:
      • Creator: the person or team behind the project idea, working to bring it to life.
      • Backers (sponsors)
      • Platform acts as a trustee
    • Basic rules
      • Projects must create something to share with others. It cannot be something private
      • Projects and backer statistics must be honest and clearly presented after the project is done.
      • Prototype demonstration should reflect a product’s current or desired state and should not include any CGI or special effects to demonstrate functionality that won't be included*.
    • In every platform it is clearly stated that Clear, transparent communication is key
    • The project wants to use one of the platforms initially.
    • Next week we vote on which platform to use
