  1. What's new from this week?
    • Improvements
      • IDEMPIERE-4748 Window, Tab & Field: Fields that are not displayed in the frontend window are hidden also in the backend.
      • IDEMPIERE-4759 Method to create Trx with other Connection (FHCA-2544)
  2. Distro vs core - Follow up - "No vendor lock-ins" policy
    • The plug-ins must comply the plug-ins guidelines to avoid vendor lock ins with hidden migration stoppers.
    • The top makers with the friendly distro tag must comply by version 9
    • We only add it to each top maker once the guidelines are fulfilled
  3. Redhat report discussion (https://www.redhat.com/rhdc/managed-files/rh-enterprise-open-source-report-f27565-202101-en.pdf)
    • Conclusions:
      • we're going in the right path. (Communicating the right message, we need to improve Documentation!) *
      • We can link this study on the top makers page to encourage people to select one of these vendors and become one as well
      • Proposed messages for the top makers intro:
        • "We encourage businesses that seek to unlock their potential by using truly open source iDempiere ERP to work with those companies and individuals listed beneath because they contribute back to the project on regular basis. Contribution is what makes this project innovate.
        • We are happy to broaden this list with every company who contributes at least annually. (monthly, etc - set clear rule that easily understandable)"
        • <Button or link 'How to contribute'>_
        • we can even use the reference to the study directly
        • "Contribution matters: 83% of IT leaders are more likely to select a vendor who contributes to the open source community."
        • you can be in this list!!!
